The main requirement for electric cars, in order to interest the Russians in buying it is the suitability of electric vehicles to the Russian conditions. Such characteristics as quality of assembly, availability of the price, low fuel consumption are also important.
The main factor, which is slowing down development and sales of hybrid cars in the Russian market, is their relatively high cost. The price of electric cars is high, first, because of components,in particular, costs ofaccumulators. Secondly, as we know, demand gives rise to the offer, now the automobile market is not so sated with such cars.
In 2013 240 thousand electric cars were made in the world, and in 2014 this figure exceeded 400 thousand.
In October 2014 in Moscow the Russia's first firm shop of the BMW company intended especially for sale of three "green" cars was opened.
According to the experts, in 20 years the number of electric cars will exceed number of traditional cars. In the long term, the electricity and biofuel quite can drive completely out of the market petrol and diesel engines. Certainly, at first it will occur in Europe, Japan and the USA, but over time this tendency will be in Russia too.
For development of electric cars production in Russia and their further mass start big investments into research and development are necessary.
